Riki Palumbo

Riki is a seasoned creative force in the beauty industry with 20+ years of experience. Her journey began at one of the top salons in Rhode Island and continued in New York City, where she had the privilege of working with world-renowned brands like TIGI and learning from some of the best stylists in the world.

Graduating from TIGI Talent as a master colorist, Riki’s career flourished. She's worked NYC Fashion Week and traveled across the US, Canada, and Europe sharing her passion for color with fellow stylists. Drawing from the worlds of art, street culture, and music; Riki developed a unique approach to color and design that reflects her deep connection to creativity and individuality.

In addition to her stylistic prowess, Riki has always placed education at the forefront of her career. She's taught at the Toni & Guy Academy in Rhode Island, raising up our next generation of stylists. She's constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the world of hair.

After taking a brief detour in 2013 to focus on her personal life as a wife and mother, Riki founded HairLab Providence in 2015. The salon became a space where she could continue creating while raising her children and embracing a more balanced, fulfilling lifestyle. HairLab has evolved into a haven for clients and stylists alike -- a place of creativity, growth, and connection.

Riki’s work reflects a deep intuition and understanding of her clients’ needs. She's known for creating bespoke hairstyles and custom, lived-in colors that speak to each individual's unique personality. From classic, contemporary haircuts to vibrant color techniques; her artistic vision is always derived from getting to her clients on a personal level.

Outside of the salon, Riki remains an avid learner; homeschooling her children and diving into studies of energy, physics, and herbal remedies. She continues to refine her skills by staying curious and ever-evolving.
